SYNOPSIS

My Thoughts
I absolutely love this series. I think part of it has to do with the fact that I’ve listened to the entire series so far on audiobook — Cassandra Campbell is a great narrator and I really can’t imagine Sarah’s voice without the narration!
This was an awesome installment to the series. It was so good that I found myself listening to the entire thing in a day — something I don’t do very often when it comes to audiobooks. I just had to know what was going to happen! One of my favourite things about this series is how much the relationship between Sarah and David has evolved. When I started listening to it, I wondered where it would go, since they both hated one another, but now they’re filled with so much love that if they’re apart, I start to worry that something will happen.
Of course, this book is full of obstacles, mainly zombies, but David also has some zombie in him — which means he starts doing really strange things, like lifting really heavy things and breathing in a weird zombie-like way. Along the way to bring the zombie cure to the people who matter, Sarah and David meet some new people, none of which know about David’s condition.
I absolutely loved the new characters that were introduced in this story — especially McRae, who was quite the character. I liked the last story in this series, but it wasn’t love for me. This story, however, I loved. It may not have been as fast-paced as the other books, but we get to meet new characters, learn more about the old characters, and feel their anticipation and fear as they travel to the Wall.
These books really are great. They’re fast reads (and listens) and very accessible to readers. They’re full of snark, romance, and — of course — zombies. I can’t believe the series is almost coming to an end!
